Collector's Items?

Today, Lauren and I went to our local Walmart store looking for some doll so she could ask some boy to MORP. This is what we found:

Who would actually buy these for their 5 year old? I mean seriously, they look like they want to go kill somebody. Especially the first. I definitely wouldn't pay $19.95 for these creatures. It's things like this that really make me question: What has this world come to? Barbies used to be so innocent.... I guess it makes for a good laugh, though, right? haha

We ended up getting the above Ken for Lauren's date. It was only 10 dollars, it does have a mullet in the back, and we could make him do WAY more than just 100 poses. Just so you know...

Three Day Weekend

I absolutely LOVE three day weekends. This time it was for Presidents' (President's? Lauren asked me which way you spelled it, and honestly I have now idea. You can be the judge. Then get back to me because I am genuinely curious.) Day. I guess the best part to being off of school is all of the many possiblities that you can do in one day. And all of them don't even have to remotely relate to each other whatsoever. Today, I went laser tagging with a bunch of friends. One of which is a boy I find very attractive. One of which I won't say his name. Just know, it starts with an R and ends with an Iley. :) Also, his last name is one of the most common last names. Ever. You'll know it soon enough. Anyway, laser tagging. We only played one game. The woman helping us totally forgot to have us pay, and some of the people I was with weren't planning on paying. I, being the example I am (haha), said that I felt bad not paying and that I'm going to pay because of the bad feeling inside. Surprisingly enough, everybody followed my example and nobody stole a game. It's crazy how that works, and it makes me want to be a good example more and more. A lot of people could do a lot of good if this was just the case.

After we went laser tagging we walked to Cafe Rio. I think most people know my stance on Cafe Rio. I absolutely LOVE the place. You might even be able to say that I'm a little addicted to the place. That's okay though. It's delicious. I'm so full right now, though, that the thought of eating anything just makes me want to throw up, but I can't do that because that would ruin Cafe Rio. People would have to start planning my funerial.

The last and final thing I did was play Just Dance on the Wii. Holy cow that game is fun! We'll just leave it at that. To experience the joys of this game, you can find it at your local game store. Maybe. Probably. I dunno, just go look for it.

Here to come? Comforting one of my dear friends who is not the happiest at the moment. I love her so much and I really cannot bear to see her in the pain she is in. Hopefully I can help? Hopefully.

P.S. I feel like this blog is one of the most boring ones out there because I have no pictures. Hopefully, I will find my stupid camera and then it won't be so boring! In the mean time listen to the music -it plays automatically, so you kind of have to- and enjoy it.

Be Thankful I'm Not Throwing Up...

For the past two days I've been a sicko. No, it's not what you're thinking.
I'll give you a list of my symptoms:
-achy body-mostly neck. actually it's all the neck. It's even swollen... Only if I put it to the side, though.
-sore throat. This sucker burns when I swallow, travels to my ears which makes them throb, and then that travels to my head which makes that one throb as well. Let's just say Ib profen is a life savor.
-runny nose. I mean really, really runny. You would have thought it was running a race. One nostril against the other. Well, too bad it woke me up four times last night. It's green too. That means I have an infection. (I asked myself: is that too much information? I answered: probably. I then proceeded to ask myself: Is my point getting accross? And I answered: most definitely)
and this is the newest. As in this morning:
-ear aches. It first started in my right ear, dulling it making it throb. pretty much the worst feeling ever. Then, as in a couple of hours ago, it traveled into my left ear-keeping it behind in my right too, mind you- so, pretty much, every little sound is dulled and you have to act like i'm your grandpa in order to talk to me. Ib Profen is not helping me out on this one either.
So, there you have it, kids. My life's story as of right now. I might sound like a complainer, but having to stay home all day long yesterday doing absolutely nothing really stinks. So, I should be allowed at least a little bit of a complaint. I'm also a little bit of a grouch.
On the brightside I've been reading this and I'm 400-somthing pages into it!

An Order of Panda and Wonderland

Do you know what the best way to spend a Friday night is? Watching two movies and eating fast food, knowing you're going to get fat, but don't care!
Also, all of these lovely things are done with your sister. Yes, I said sister, and I'm not even an adult yet! Last night, my sister Lauren and I were home alone, so we decided to just put aside our differences and be each other's friend and company. (Mom and Dad had left us in the dust as they went to Mimi's Cafe with all the aunts, uncles, and grandparents)In about 20 seconds of the parents' departure, we hit a delema. We had absolutely no idea what to get for dinner. ( All of A.F.'s restaurants are either sit down or meat/hamburger joints, and seeing that Lauren is a Vegetarian, these kinds of desicions are really, really hard!) I automatically said Cafe Rio, but surpisingly it didn't sound good at that moment. Even to me! Lauren said Paradise Bakery, but I didn't feel like sitting down. Even though Paradise is delicious! So, we met an agreement on Panda Express. You know, Panda is pretty amazing for fast food.It really was best of both worlds, Lauren got her vegetarian food and I got my meat. We were both happy. The second half to this story, is equally as delicious as Panda: we watched two movies, right in a row! Alice in Wonderland. The new one which is, if you ask me, pretty darn good. Lauren said it wasn't as good as she expected it to be, but really, all Lauren wants to watch is some French movie. After Alice, we watched Pheobe in Wonderland. I recommend this movie to everybody!

Christmas Is Coming, Christmas Is Coming!

You always know that Christmas is coming when your sister makes you listen to 100.3, the local christmas music station, before Halloween is even here! And can I say, I am soooo excited!

Christmas truly is the happiest time of year! Today, As I was watching my Holocaust documentary show, my mom was shopping online for christmas gifts. Everytime I walked by I had to pull my blanket over my face so "I wouldn't see." Mother's sometimes..... :)
It really is Christmas season though, now that Thanksgiving is over! And can I just say, It didn't feel like Thanksgiving at all! It felt way too early. Nonetheless, it was Thansgiving.
I am thankful for one thing in particular. That one this is, I'm thankful for the fact that The Brocious family could get all get together without huge fights breaking out! It felt like our family was actually normal! :) The food was amazing, though. Thanks to Auntie Julie and her amazing cooking skills. Also, to all of the aunts because, seriously, there was TONS of food there!! At least six pounds of stuffing. No joke.

Anyway, I will definitely be singing christmas jingles in my head from now on. Or at least for the next three months!
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New year!!

An Angelic Romance

This boy is quite a boy. His name is Jean-Baptiste Maunier. He's french, sings like an angel, and is the most gorgeous person I have ever beheld in my entire life. This is when he was like 13 or 14. He for some reason hadn't gone through puberty.... I don't really care. His voice is beautiful.

Here's another. I love this song. It almost brings me to tears everytime I hear it.

But, Unfortunately, Jean-Baptiste did go through retched puberty. He doesn't sing like this anymore, but he does sing. Not as good though.
The best part though, is that he is even more attractive now then he was back then!

And Another:

I will meet him one day and he will fall madly in love with me. It's just a matter of time :)

Tuesdays....

So, today, Tuesday, I had young womens. The Mia Maid leaders decided they would ditch out on their 3 only girls! Just kidding, they didn't. They had things, so couldn't make it.
It worked out fine. Us three Mia Maids just joined in with the other seven Laurals and it worked out great! Best of all, we went to the dinosaur museum and played in the sand and water!!

After these great adventures, my friend Megan and I had a dance party in the car. Those are THE most fun things ever. We have one at LEAST once a week. :) Tonight, we decided we needed some food. Megan and I whipped over to our local Macey's and....

Two boxes of fruit snacks, eight Pixy Stix, four donuts and one otter pop drink.
Let's just say we didn't put heath in mind. I feel really sick right now from all of it too. I ate one too many donuts that's for sure!

Consulting Style

So last week my Aunt Lisa called my house. She invited me to come to lunch because her daughter (Kayley) wouldn't. (Lisa talked her into coming anyway. ha) Of course I accepted! Well, as we were there Lisa asked me if I wanted to come be their "Style Consultant" as Kayley started her school shopping. Again, I accepted. Of course! Not because I'm so stylish, because I'm not, but because I love shopping! And Being with Lisa and Kayley isn't too shabby either :)
Kayley had this way cute top from Aeropostale.

They needed help finding a shirt that could go under it to make it modest. Well, I gave them the idea that they should find a cute green cardigan to go over it instead of searching for a plain T-shirt that "matched.
(A little side note. My motto for shopping is this: And, I learned this from TLC's What Not To Wear, Find things that don't match, but go. Just a thought :)
Anyway, Lisa and Kayley both seemed to like the idea. They still wanted the shirt to go under though just to have options. Fair enough.
Urban Wear was the first store of the search. Instantly I found this purple cardigan that I thought would go perfectly! And it did! It looked way cute! Even more cute than a green cardigan. Which, by the way, we found. Kayley just didn't like it as much as the purple. And, bonus, it went great with her Eggplant Rocket Dogs she got at Famous Footwear!

Needless to say, I think I did a great job conulsting the Tait's style :) Kayley will sure look cute this school year!
Espeacially with her new yellow hat that she absolutely LOVES!!

Also, I decided to take a picture of my cute school clothes. I love them. Especially my black great-grandma shoes in the middle. They are my absolute favorite things in the world!

I'm still not ready for school though. I'm in shock that it's only one week away. Where the heck did summer go? I still don't have my schedule either! Panic mode is setting in a little...
We just need a few more months.. I would say, hmmm, maybe 9? Yeah, I think that would be great
