"You Have to Look Hard"

This movie has been my life for the past two days. I've watched just this scene over and over and over again because it's just too amazing. Let's be honest here, North and South makes me giddy, and Richard Armitage makes me drool. Life in movies is just too great, so I just watch things like this so I can pretend that something like ironically meeting the man I deeply love in a random train station just to have him hold my hand and kiss me will actually happen.

I have been studying, however, and it's great! Today I read about the new philosophies of the Renaissance and all about who Thales of Miletus is. Also in Art History, we talked about the cross as a sign of Christianity (obviously) but a few thoughts entered my mind. To me, as of right now, the cross can be interpreted in three ways:

A symbol of Resurrection and forgiveness               A symbol of guidance- "He is the way."              And a symbol of the Trinity: God the Father
at the top, Spirit of God, and Son of God.

 Happy Monday.
